Bookish Misc. with Elle and Kate

Hello faithful readers!  So excited to finally be able to share this!

Beta Reader #1 and I have launched a video blog called Bookish Misc., where we will be discussing the wide world of books and everything involved within it! We’ve posted our first episode on YouTube where we introduce ourselves and basically tell the story of how we became BBFFs (that’s Best Book Friends Forever) Yes, that’s right, you get to “meet” the red pen behind my creativity–Beta Reader #1, Kate! PLUS! We’ve submitted this intro episode to Geek & Sundry, who has put out a call for vloggers to join their new channel! Hopefully they like us, but even if they don’t, we’ll keep at it because we can’t help ourselves. So watch and comment–tell us what you think, and give us your ideas for future episodes. Added a new section to the Other Projects tab

Hello faithful readers!   If you live in the US, I hope your memorial day weekend is going splendidly.  If you live outside of the US (or don’t get Memorial Day off from work,) I hope your Saturday-Sunday are fabulous, no matter how you’re spending them.

Just a quick note to let you all know I’ve added a new post to the “Other Projects” section of the site.  The new post is in response to questions I regularly get about Indie Publishing–how-to, best practices, tools, resources, etc.  It’s called “On Indie Publishing” I’ll add new tidbits to it as I have new items to share.

Barnes and Noble links updated

Hello again faithful readers!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  My week is going splendidly, if not just this side of hectic.  So much to do!  But it’s a good problem to have, really, so no complaints.

The links for Barnes and Noble in the bookstore tab have been updated with the current URLs.  If you read my last post, I made note of that fact that the BN.com links had expired.  I changed the way I distribute to BN.com, and so had to wait for new URLs.  They have been received and all has been updated.  Click away friends! 

If you live in The States, I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.   I plan to spend Monday with my mom, which is sure to be quite nice. I’m looking forward to it!   Is anyone planning to go camping, or do anything else similarly fun with their holiday weekend?

 

Updates

A few updates for you all:

1) Augury (Mythologicals Saga | Two) is now up on Amazon.com!

2) I’ve updated the Bookstore page (see tabs above) with the links for Augury, as well as the link to find DRIFT in paperback.

3) You will notice that all the links for my previous books (Augury excluded) on BN.com are no longer functional.  I’ve decided to upload to BN.com directly using their new e-pub platform.  In the mean time, there will be a day or two where most of my stuff is absent.  It will be back up shortly and I’ll refresh links as soon as I can.

Augury on Smashwords!

Well, it took a YEAR, but Augury (Mythologicals Saga | Two) has finally been released upon the world!  It is up on smashwords now, and I just received confirmation that it has been approved for premium distribution, so look for updates in the coming days as it becomes available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and all the other e-retailers.

Augury Cover Art Revealed!

I am so very pleased with this cover!  It turned out exactly as I’d hoped it would!  I think it gives a good representation of the ways Augury is different from Harbinger (the first in the Mythologicals Saga) while maintaining enough similarities at the same time.  Anyway, I hope others feel as excited about this cover–and the book!–as I do!  I’m still on target for Augury to be available on most e-book platforms on or before June 1st.  And I’ll plan to post some scenes and snippets before then, so stay tuned!

Update: Augury (Mythologicals Saga | 2)

Hi everybody!

Super pleased to report that I have just completed the first round of revisions for Augury (Mythologicals Saga | 2)!  They were fairly minor, which is excellent!

Up next: Adding chapter breaks, sending some reworked scenes back to Beta Reader #1 for a re-read, finalizing the cover, formatting the e-book, then RELEASE!

Shooting for a June 1st release date!  Stay tuned for updates!
